This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or purchase from chclearning.ca (the “Site”).

The Canadian Honey Council (CHC) is committed to protecting personal information and complying with Canada’s privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

CHC is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information provided to it and protecting all personal information in its possession or control.

Collection of Personal Information
To register for an e-learning course, CHC requires your name and e-mail address. You will also be asked to create a personalized login including a username and password.

For purchases through the Site, CHC collects certain information, including the client’s name, billing address, shipping address, payment and credit card information, email address, and phone number. Payment information is transmitted directly to the payment processor and credit card information is not stored on CHC systems. CHC will retain your name, billing address, email address, and phone number to communicate with you about your purchase.

Once registered, course completion is tracked and recorded in CHC’s database to allow for retention of your completion results. By virtue of registering with the Site, you have access to this information and can request CHC remove this information at any time.

By registering for an account on the Site, you are formally acknowledging consent to the collection and use of personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

CHC is accountable for personal information in its possession or control. This includes any personal information that CHC receives directly from clients through the store or indirectly through third parties purchasing eLearning content on behalf of individual learners.

CHC has established and put into effect policies and procedures to properly protect personal information and has educated its employees regarding its Privacy Policy and their role and responsibilities in keeping personal information private.

CHC protects the privacy of personal information in its possession or control by using security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Authentication is used to prevent unauthorized access to personal information stored electronically. Encryption is used to prevent unauthorized access to personal information received or sent over the Internet. For files and other materials containing personal information entrusted to a third-party service provider, CHC obtains appropriate assurance to affirm that the level of protection of personal information by the third party is equivalent to or greater than that of CHC.
